Place Golf Club, Surrey, just half a mile from Esher town centre is
an attractive parkland course. This superb value course is open all
year round and is ideal for beginners and experienced players alike.Moore Place Golf Course was opened in 1926 by Harry Vardon, the six times Open Champion and apart from some holes being lengthened, the course has changed little today. One significant change, was the new 3rd hole allowing us to increase the overall length of the course and substitute a par 3 for a par 4. Many players started their golfing careers here and have fond memories of this intricate and challenging course. What the course lacks in length is made up for with its tight drives and sharp doglegs. The changes made by Nick Gadd came into being 6 years ago. Along with the new 3rd came a new layout and grass tees through the high season. The very nature of the landscape and sub-soil allows it to be free draining and therefore the course remains open when many are forced to close.
